Gail R. Zweig Counsel
Gail Zweig joined LLF in 2005 as counsel after six years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal and Appeals Divisions of the United States Attorney's Office of the District of New Jersey. Before joining the United States Attorney's Office, Ms. Zweig served as Special Advisor to the General Counsel and Litigation Counsel of the Council of the City of New York, and before that she practiced commercial litigation at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and tax law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Ms. Zweig also served as law clerk to the Honorable Sterling Johnson, Jr. of the United States District Court of the Eastern District of New York.
Ms. Zweig graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received her law degree from New York University School of Law, where she was a member of Order of the Coif. Since 1994, Gail has been an adjunct professor of legal writing, first at Brooklyn Law School and later at New York University School of Law and Fordham University School of Law.
